In order to keep the body safe and free from injuries, it is important that all physical practice is based on proper alignment for each individual.

Proper alignment will help us with at least three things:

1. The breath will travel to all parts of the body, which opens up energy channels and balances our hormones.

2. We will eventually be able to do the full posture without harming the body.

3. Proper alignment cultivates increased awareness of our body, and we will benefit from this in our daily life.
