Welcome to an early summer retreat. Our theme for this weekend is awakening our body and mind through philosophical questions and yogic practices.
Lake Hjorten is the perfect place to rejuvenate and recharge yourself. The beautiful, serene nature supports introspection and tranquillity.
During the retreat weekend, we’ll explore how the physical practices and philosophy of yoga can enrich our daily lives, and help us achieve a greater sense of balance and harmony within ourselves.
Yoga Practice
Our morning classes starts with meditation followed by a theme-based asana class. The class will be well-rounded, and we will work toward a peak pose. The asana practice is taught in such a way that you will learn to practice according to your own body and while building your practice through intelligent and safe sequencing.
The afternoon class will be designed according to what I have observed during the morning session. We will apply a therapeutic approach to asana and have a softer practice or work in pairs to gain a greater understanding of our own body and needs.
In the evening before going to bed we end the day with some group reflection and meditation.
Philosophy
The theme of our discussions during the retreat is how to see clearly and awaken our inner reality. Studying philosophy helps us think clearly and seek new and better answers to problems. During the philosophy discussions, we will explore our mind’s conditioning and question our beliefs so that we may move closer to what is our own truth.
